3 Core Ingredients for a Boujee Breakfast They'll Love

Making mum breakfast in bed is a sweet and thoughtful way to show you care, and whipping up something special is easier than you think! Using just three core ingredients - bacon, egg, and puff pastry - you can transform breakfast into a deliciously indulgent treat that feels extra special.

Bacon & egg breakfast cups

Grease a muffin tin with a little oil and line each cup with strips of bacon. Bake for 10 minutes, then crack an egg into each cup and season with salt and pepper. Return to the oven for another 10–12 minutes, until the egg is cooked to your liking. Finish with a sprinkle of chilli flakes and serve with toasted sourdough.

Puff pastry turnovers

Cut a sheet of puff pastry into equal squares. Spread a layer of cream cheese over each one, then add strips of bacon and a sprinkle of grated cheese. Fold two opposite corners into the centre, brush with egg, and bake until golden and crisp.

Bacon, egg & cheese bites

Fry the bacon for 5–7 minutes, then place it into a greased muffin tin. Whisk together eggs, milk, salt and pepper, and pour the mixture over the bacon. Top with grated cheese and bake for around 10 minutes, until set. Serve with a little pot of ketchup or brown sauce.

Cut puff pastry into triangles. Add fried bacon, a fried egg and a handful of grated cheese to each piece. Starting at the longest edge, roll the pastry towards the tip and gently curve it into a crescent shape. Bake until the pastry is golden and flaky.
