Bringing Christmas to Community Shops

A sign-covered trolley has appeared in each of our Company Shops. But it’s not full of stock, so what’s it for? Well...

That’s one of our donation stations. We collect donations for our Community Shops all year round, but this one is special. Instead of food, we’re collecting gifts and toys for children.

No one should have to decide between food and a present for a child at Christmas. But sadly, for those in need, it’s a story that unfolds all too often. That’s why we have these stations - so children within these families can enjoy the spirit of Christmas too.

By adding new toys and gifts to the trolley, you’re making this Christmas wish come true for another child. You can buy them from us if you like or bring them in from a different shop - it doesn’t matter to us! The important thing is that our Community Shops have gifts to give, and that’s something you can be a part of.

All of these donations will go to our Community Shops. They’ll be spread across our 13 stores, to make sure that every shop has gifts that will bring a smile to a child’s face at Christmas.

What can I donate? As long as it’s new, still has its label, and made for children under 16, it can go in the trolley:

  • Toy cars, planes and the dolls to drive them

  • Soft toys

  • Story books

  • Games and puzzles

  • Colouring books and the stationary to complete them

At the entrance to each Company Shop, there will be a big trolley with bright orange and red signs. Simply put your gifts in here, and we’ll do the rest. You don’t even need to wrap them - it's that easy!

You’ve got until Sunday 8th December to add your gifts to the trolley. Every child deserves to experience the joys of Christmas, and with your donations, we can help to make that happen. Whatever you can give, we’ll take with open arms.

Thank you, and Merry Christmas.
