Unfortunately, this particular batch didn't meet the manufacturer's visual quality standards.

Although it was still perfectly safe and delicious, it couldn’t be sold. That meant it became surplus stock and was at risk of being wasted. That's where we stepped in.

Here at Company Shop, we believe surplus stock deserves a second chance, regardless of its shape, size or appearance. So instead of letting this fudge go to waste, it made its way to our headquarters, where our teams got to work preparing it for our stores.

Before the fudge could be sold, there was plenty to do behind the scenes.

First, to comply with food safety regulations, our Technical Team created labels for each of the 8 different flavours, making sure every pack featured included all the important stuff - such as the ingredients, allergens and nutritional values.

Once the labels were ready, our Warehouse team sorted the fudge by flavour and individually labelled every pack. The finished packs were then boxed up and sent out to our 13 stores, ready for you to enjoy!

The packaging may be basic, but the fudge certainly isn't.
